A Main Board Director of Omnium International, Fernando has worked in the GCC for 15 years and specialises in the Cost Management of high-end and technically complex projects and has previously worked on the Burj Khalifa, Jumeirah Beach Residences and ITHRA Dubai’s iconic One Za’abeel development.
Established in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia since 2007, Omnium International have historically been involved in some of the Kingdom’s landmark developments including the Jeddah Tower, King Abdul-Aziz Economic City and masterplan developments in Jeddah and Al Khobar. With the launch of Saudi Vision 2030 the Omnium team have been able to utilize their skills and knowledge to facilitate the cost management of several of the big ‘hallmark’ projects including NEOM, Diriyah Gate, Al Ula, Rua al Madinah, Qiddiya and Amaala.
Amaala is where the Vision 2030 journey began for Omnium, seconded into the Amaala offices as the Executive QS during the very early days, from there, the Omnium team worked closely with the Amaala team on the early development budgets.
Omnium aim to bring a unique perspective to the Construction KSA Intel Summit – in the current post Covid-19 impacted economic climate project teams have had to adapt to, and overcome, the significant market-capacity and supply-chain issues with the cost information supplied to project teams is proving to be more important than ever, to ensure that developments are delivered as intended, whilst achieving budget targets.
A committed member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCIArb), Fernando has excellent communication skills and a personable and pragmatic approach to the management of his projects and team. He possessed a unique ability to offer a rational and knowledgeable viewpoint, coupled with a collaborative approach and innovative solutions that are backed by his exceptional Cost Management and strategic skills.
