David is a Builder, Civil Engineer, Project Management and Development professional who has worked in real estate for more than 30 years. In his career, he has been fortunate to work in a variety of organizations across a range of countries and economies.
Currently he is the Chief of Project Delivery of the SAR 60b AMAALA project in Saudi Arabia, responsible for leading a team of 1000+ construction professionals to execute the AMAALA vision.
AMAALA is set to become an uber-luxury destination on the northwestern coast of Saudi Arabia and is part of the Kingdoms 2030 vision to support the expansion of Saudi Arabia’s leisure and tourism industry.
Prior to joining AMAALA in 2019, David was the Chief Development officer at VinaCapital, managing the development of their portfolio of hotels and resorts, residential communities and commercial developments throughout Vietnam. Also in Vietnam, he was the Chief Executive Officer of REFICO, a Vietnam focused Real Estate developer.
David is also a McKinsey & Company Alumni, were he was the Infrastructure Vice President in Asia Pacific. He joined Mckinsey from Mace Group where he spent more than 10 years in a variety of roles including the Regional Director of Asia Pacific. From 1997 to 2005, David worked for Multiplex Constructions completing several iconic projects in Australia, South East Asia and the UK.
Prior to 1997, he worked for several public agencies in Australia in the infrastructure and building sectors, while studying his degree part-time.
